Our role
Engineer your site, schema, and citation footprint so Claude surfaces you when buyers ask the questions that should lead to you.

01 · What we do

What we do for Claude

Claude has the most discerning audience — long-form thinkers, professionals, and enterprise teams who use it for serious work. We make sure your brand shows up when those users ask the questions that should lead to you. That means earning citations across the structured, fact-dense sources Claude's retrieval prefers, and writing your site in a register Claude treats as authoritative.

02 · Why it matters

Why showing up here is non-negotiable

Claude users are not casual. They're lawyers vetting opposing counsel, doctors checking references, CFOs scoping vendors, founders pressure-testing positioning. The average Claude session is longer, more analytical, and more often tied to a real decision than the average ChatGPT session. Winning Claude is winning the moments when high-value buyers are doing the most thorough version of their research.

03 · What's different

Why Claude is different from the others

Claude is the most conservative engine. It will more often refuse to recommend, more often hedge, and more often tell the user to verify. That makes ungrounded brand-name dropping harder. The way to win Claude is to be the source it can quote without flinching — a page with named authors, dated content, verifiable claims, and clean structure. Claude also has tool use (web search, code execution, MCP connectors), so live retrieval is increasingly relevant — but Anthropic's web search is more selective about what it cites than competitors.

04 · How it works under the hood

The mechanics of Claude

If you want to win Claude you need to know how it actually picks what to say. Here's the short version of what's happening every time a user types a prompt.

  1. 01

    Training-first defaults

Most Claude answers without web search draw on training data. That training data over-indexes on books, academic papers, Wikipedia, and high-authority editorial — so Claude's defaults favor brands with that kind of presence.

  2. 02

    Web search tool

Claude can call a web search tool when enabled. The retrieval system filters aggressively for source quality and tends to cite fewer sources than Perplexity but with higher per-source weight.

  3. 03

    Citation style

When Claude cites, it tends to name the source in prose ('according to [Brand]'s 2025 report') rather than a numbered rail. That makes citations more brand-visible but rarer.

  4. 04

    MCP and connectors

Claude's MCP layer lets it pull from a user's connected tools (Slack, Notion, Google Drive, etc.). For B2B brands this is increasingly relevant — being inside the docs and tools your buyers already use matters.

  5. 05

    Refresh cadence

New Claude model releases roughly every 3 to 6 months. Web search results update live. Brand mentions in training data have a multi-month lag before they show up in defaults.

05 · The playbook

What we actually optimize for Claude

No silver bullets. These are the levers that move the needle in Claude specifically, ranked by what tends to matter most for our clients.

  • Author bylines, dates, and clear E-E-A-T signals on every page
  • Long-form, original content that Claude can quote without paraphrasing risk
  • Structured data that makes you a clean named entity (Person, Organization, sameAs links)
  • Wikipedia presence where eligible — Claude weighs it heavily
  • Coverage in trade press and analyst reports — Anthropic's sources skew editorial
